Reflection, Introspection and Questions

It’s officially October and I know that 2025 will be here in the blink of an eye. As summer ends and fall rapidly presents itself, I reflect on this blog that I created 8 months ago. My initial goal in writing this blog was to bring others to my private practice website, with the hope and intention of gaining therapy clients. I also enjoy writing, so it provided a chance for me to engage in a hobby that brings me joy. When I posted my first article, I had thoughts of grandeur and then thoughts of humility. Thoughts of grandeur, more like daydreams, of my posts going viral, then humility sank in when that was not the case. Surprisingly, a new thought set in, contentment. I suppose it could also be labeled as pride, but if I am being honest pride feels like too intense of a word to describe the experience. The thoughts of contentment consisted of the satisfaction that I set out to do something outside of my comfort zone. I worked hard to not equate my personal or professional worth on if I received likes on my posts or followers on my blog. Don’t get me wrong, the likes and followers I did get made me feel amazing! However, I am grateful and content with the articles (posts) that I have written. My editing and spell check could definitely improve, another lesson in how I need to slow down especially if I am excited about something I am doing. There is a journey to be had in all things and in that journey a lesson is meant to be learned. So, I ask you what lessons are you hoping to learn? What journey are you hoping to start or perhaps finish?

The majority of my blog posts require you, cherished reader, to cognitively marinate on questions of reflection and introspection. Whether it be how you harmonize with your child, what aspects of self-care you are going to pursue or learning about growth mindset, my hope and intention is to provide information and perspective. I launched this blog 8 months ago, and have 20 posts, all of which I am proud of and hope you have enjoyed. With all that being said I have more on the way, however I turn to you to gain understanding and insight on topics you would like to learn about. What concepts, in the world of mental health, parenting, self-care or therapy are you wishing someone would discuss? Was there a past post you enjoyed that could use deeper exploration or clarification?

Let me know your thoughts, I would love to hear from you.

I appreciate you taking the time to read this post, as I’m just trying to offer a few words of wisdom in a complex world. I hope you found it helpful or maybe you are already doing all of what I suggested, and it just feels good to feel affirmed. Parenting is hard and I am here to help. I offer parenting support services to help you in this journey called parenthood. If you would like to set up a time to chat my contact information is below.
